The banner artist of this issue is Yuri Duncan. The banner features the old climbing gym rockets that were at Broad Ripple Park for many years.
Yuri Duncan has lived in and around the Broad Ripple village for most of his life. One of his earliest memories is seeing Goldfinger with his father at the Vogue back when it was still a movie theater. As a young 8 year old, he once rode his Big Wheel from the Broad Ripple Apartments to the Park, just to play on the rockets. Yuri and his wife have been home owners in the village for the last 22 years.
Yuri has been an illustrator since he was a little kid, and still draws inspiration from science fiction, super heroes and rock & roll. Since the 90s, Yuri has co-published local fanzines in the area, created CD covers and rock posters for local bands, and published mini-comics of his own. Most recently he is focused on standalone illustrations, each telling their own fantastic story. Yuri plans to publish his first ongoing comic book series, MegaOmega, in 2016.
