Random Rippling - BRMHS teacher gets Hubbard Award

Doris Young received the Hubbard Life-Changing Teacher Award at the May 27, 2015, United Way presentation. Ann Mennonno from Center for Inquiry School 27, Donna Pope-Green from Northwest Community High School and Roslyn Stradford from Shortridge High School also were recipients this year. Each teacher received a life-changing $25,000 award.
Doris student-taught at BRHS. She has taught there since 1971 and is retiring this year. She has been involved in Brain Game, Humanities Advisory Council, musicals, Ripples, and more. Doris was named BRHS Teacher of the Year three times. She even once chaperoned a school dance with David Letterman!
