BRVA Land Use and Development April meeting
by Alan Hague
posted: May 15, 2015

About 60 attended the April meeting of the Broad Ripple Village Association (BRVA) Land Use and Development committee, held at the Indianapolis Art Center's Ruth Lilly Library. There were three items on the agenda:
A. 6265 Broadway Street, David Kingen, regarding changes to this property. Hearing continued to May 14, 2015. This matter has been before the committee several times. The proposed project is now three condo units (down from five) to be built on the canal behind CVS. Some changes were made to the site plan the day before this meeting to accommodate requests. Remonstrators presented concerns and brought a scale model of the project to show the relative size on the lot. The committee voted to not support this project.

B. Rogers Pool preliminary presentation by Gary Weaver, for J.C. Hart Company and the Blickman family. This presentation was for information only, as the project is in the early planning stages. The proposal is to build two five-story residences with parking. One on each of the sites (on both sides of 64th Street) that are currently Rogers Pools at 6364 Westfield Boulevard [E5 on map]. The current design shows 116 units with 147 parking spots. The committee had several thoughts about the project, but, in general, this project was met favorably by the committee.
