Invasion of the garlic mustard threatens BR parks
Help eradicate the garlic mustard, an invasive weed which crowds out the native wild flowers. Join volunteers at Holliday Park on May 13, 2015, or at Marott Park on May 17, 2015. Email Tom Hohman for details (hohmanta@aol.com). (Did you know? The plant is edible and I saw a family out collecting it last week at Marott Park.)

Creative Renewal at the Art Center
Have you seen the Creative Renewal and student art exhibits at the Art Center? A must and it's free. Creative Renewal is a program whereby artists got a grant from the Lilly Foundation for some creative re-charging. Also, the Art Fair Preview party will be on May 15, 2015, with the Art Fair itself on May 16-17, 2015.

It's very busy at Holliday Park. A wildflower walk is scheduled for May 9, 2015, at 10 a.m. with Norma Wallman, author of Wildflowers of Holliday Park. Enjoy jack in the pulpits, wild geraniums, and May applies. Also, stop by the new exhibit hall in the nature center which just re-opened after a major model. Finally, the Indiana Native Plant Society will be having their annual native plant sale until 12:30 p.m. on May 9, 2015, at Park Tudor School.
