The reception runs from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. The Winter Art Sale will also run December 12th and 13th where they will be selling tons of art for the holidays or just for people's collections.

Holiday Travel on the Train
Don't miss Amtrak's new upgraded service to Chicago. Free WiFi and snacks (plus business class) on the Hoosier State. Tickets from $24. Service may end January 31, 2015, so don't delay. Leave Chicago daily from historic Union Station at 5:45 p.m. Tickets at www.amtrak.com. Details on passenger rail in the Hoosier State at www.indianahighspeedrail.org or Hoosiers for Passenger Rail on Facebook.
SF Bay Area-perfect winter get away
Split the Ripple for the Bay Area. It's green and warmer than here. Southwest (one stop via Denver) has fares from $200 each way. United has a non-stop but it was canceled the day I took a flight and delayed 2 hours the next day (with a plane swap). Oakland is another option to SFO.
Enjoy Golden Gate Park. Rent a bike and ride over the Golden Gate Bridge (and take the ferry back from Sausalito). Don't miss the shops and farmers market at the Ferry Building. Walk the neighborhoods. Hop on the Historic F Trolley line to Fisherman's Wharf. You can't beat the Bay Area for a winter getaway. The acacia trees will be in bloom soon as will the daffodils.
