Historic Ad - Broad Ripple Auto Company
posted: Nov. 14, 2014
This advertisement for the Broad Ripple Auto Company ran in 1931. This was the Ford dealer in Broad Ripple, run by Grider and Tinch, and was at 819 E 63rd Street (Broad Ripple Avenue today) which is mostly unoccupied today. It is across the alley from Old Pros Table, which at that time was North Side Chevrolet.
Errata (from Vol 11 #25): We had an error in the Historic Ad text in Volume 11 #23. The text read: "This advertisement for the Broad Ripple Auto Company ran in 1931. The Ford dealer was indeed at 819-823. North Side Chevrolet was actually across the street at 832-836 E. 63rd Street. This was pointed out to me by my uncle, Glen Hague, who worked at the Ford dealership. I told him he should have emailed it to contests@broadripplegazette.com. He might have won a Rene's treat!
