Shawn Causey is the banner artist in this issue. Shawn works from her studio in south Broad Ripple. She received degrees in fine arts and music from Herron School of Art and Design and Butler University. In 2013 she was commissioned by The Arts Council of Indianapolis and the Buckingham Foundation to install her large scale steel mural, Bright City, in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. Bright City won the Honor Award in public art at this year's Monumental Awards. Her most recent project is a 4000 square foot painted mural at Alabama and 11th Streets, part of the Vibrant Corridors initiative. shawncausey.com
