No Tricks Just Treats
If you survived the Zombie Walk last weekend then you are probably ready for some ghoulish glog tomorrow night.
Here are a few spooky sippers that will send a shiver of delight down your spine.
Vampire Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot and Pinot Noir; These wines from California are scary good for the price, less than $15. The Cab is big, bold with lots of dark fruit. The Chardonnay has hints of vanilla and oak in a smooth fruity finish. The Merlot is bursting with plum and spice and the Pinot Noir is ghoulishly gulpable.
Leelanau Cellars Witches Brew-spicy, sassy, sweet red blend from Michigan. Heat it gently, don't boil, and serve it warm to the trick or treaters who are over 21.
Charles Smith Velvet Devil Merlot-from Washington state. Give in to your temptation for lush, rich, full bodied merlot.
Middle Sister Wicked White-think Menage a Trois light;
Midnight Cellars Full Moon Red-this one will have you howling with delight.
And just in time for November 1 and 2nd "Day of the Dead" Mexican Craft beers, produced by Cerveceria Mexicana on the border of the US and Tecate, Mexico. Festive labels with those iconic skulls and skeletons-calaveras and calacas symbolizing the "dead" remembered in the bottle of beer including Immortal Beloved Hefeweizen, Queen of the Night Pale Ale, Hop on or Die IPA, Pay the Ferryman Porter.
Great value that won't send you to the grave.
