• Broad Ripple student Ruby Smith, has been a Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis Club kid since she age 5. Now, at 15, Ruby has been nominated for the Maytag Dependable Leaders award through Boys & Girls Clubs of America. She could win a $20,000 college scholarship for herself and $30,000 for other Club kids in Indy. She is up against kids from all over the nation. We would LOVE it if you could help spread the word, to help her win. Ruby's winning is based on votes. People can vote once every 24 hours. Voting ends September 19, so we'd like to get started ASAP.
• Congratulations to Seniors Alexis Barnett, Alonzo Amos, and Owen Tate. These artists have been selected to participate in "Beyond Perceptions," a special program at the Indianapolis Art Center. This year's topic focuses on immigration. Congratulations Rocket Artists!
