• Congratulations go out to all of the students who participated in the Indiana State Music Association Solo and Ensemble competition this past Saturday! Silver medals went to Ruby Smith in Division I and Markyel Cushenberry and Shulaya Thomas in Division 2. Gold medals in Division 2 went to Meredith Resener, Kayla Sims, the Anderson quartet and Broad Ripple Orchestra B. Chantal Gatlin, Jeremy Anderson, Jessica Thomas, Jessyca Woods and Broad Ripple Orchestra A received Gold medals in Division I which qualifies them to go on to State competition! We are so proud of all of you!
• Hey Rockets! Four of our wrestlers participated in the Regional tournament this weekend, and all fought valiantly. Chris Sharp, Moshun Scott, and Samarcus Hollingsworth will now support their teammate, Jordan Clay, as Jordan advanced to the semi-state tournament. Jordan finished 2nd in regionals and must finish in the top four at semi-state to advance to the state tourney! Well done, gentlemen, and good luck Jordan!
• Congratulations to the Broad Ripple Band Program, which has successfully completed a $500 DonorsChoose Project and has twelve brand new music stands headed their way! That's two projects funded in two years, for a total of more than $900 raised. Way to go!
• Congratulations to Hydiea Johnson, Darron Marble, and Faith Naugle, who all served as Legislative pages during the 2014 Legislative Session at the Statehouse. Well done!
• CONGRATULATIONS BRMHS! Your donations during the Goodwill Donation Drive put us in 2nd place in the district. Let's go for a first place district award next year!!!
• Jordan Clay will participate in the Semi-State Wrestling Tournament this Saturday. He is on a quest to become the 1st Rocket to make it to the State Meet since the 1999-2000 Season. Please wish him luck and give your support. GO Clay!!!
