• Hey, Rockets! Your Varsity Wrestling team competed in the IPSAC Tournament Friday and faired very well! The team competed in only 10 of the 14 weight classes, but still placed second. Jerry Cole was 6th; Solomon Mabry, Reggie Soriano and Stacy Williams placed 4th; Deshawn Adams and Quincy Fouse finished in 3rd place; and Jordan Clay was runner-up. Chris Sharp, Samarcus Hollingsworth and Moshun Scott were your 2014 Conference Champions! Great job, gentlemen! Congratulations!

• Fellow Rockets! Your Wrestling team competed in the Sectional Tournament this past Saturday. The Team finished in 6th place, competing with only 8 Wrestlers! Both Stacy Williams and Reggie Soriano suffered injuries, but finished in 6th and 8th place. Dashawn Adams also placed 6th,while Solomon Mabry finished 8th. Four Rockets will move on to Regionals next week. Samarcus Hollingsworth placed 4th, Moshun Scott was Runner-up, Chris Sharp finished in 3rd place and Jordan Clay was your Sectional Champion. Great job Men!!!

• Congratulations Color Guard! The BRMHS Color Guard had its first contest of the year on Saturday and came home with a second place in its division. Saturday's score was better than the best score of any contest last year. Way to go, ladies! The next contest is this coming Saturday. Good luck!

• Congratulations to the following students on their success in the Bullying Prevention Poster Contest:

7th grade, Danny Galan placed third and Jalan Pyles placed second.

8th grade competition, both Jennifer Argumedo and Raja Baker received Honorable Mention awards. Great job, Rocket artists!

• Congratulations to all those students who participated in the ISSMA Solo & Ensemble Contest this past Saturday. Gold medals to Adam Jones, Sierra Myles, and Drayshawn Gatlin. Adam Jones won the Gold in Group One so he qualified for State Contest in two weeks as a soloist. Also Congrats to Group 1 trumpet trio Jones, Quincy Foust and Charles McClendon who also qualified for State!

• Congratulations go out to all of the students who participated in the Indiana State Music Association Solo and Ensemble competition this past Saturday! Silver medals went to Ruby Smith in Division I and Markyel Cushenberry and Shulaya Thomas in Division 2. Gold medals in Division 2 went to Meredith Resener, Kayla Sims, the Anderson quartet and Broad Ripple Orchestra B. Chantal Gatlin, Jeremy Anderson, Jessica Thomas, Jessyca Woods and Broad Ripple Orchestra A received Gold medals in Division I which qualifies them to go on to State competition! We are so proud of all of you!
