• Hey, Rockets! Your Wrestling team competed very well at the Bishop Luers Invitational this past Saturday, despite a short-handed crew. The team finished with a 2-3 record. Freshman phenom Deshawn Adams lost his first match of the year, but still finished in 2nd place. Deshawn's record for the season is now 12 and 1. Jordan Clay went a perfect 5-0 to win the tournament and was voted tournament Most Outstanding Wrestler. Jordan is now 13 and 0. GREAT JOB TEAM!!
• Congratulations to the girls' swim team on doing very well at its first swim meet. All 12 girls had personal best times. Highlighted were 1st place swims by Junior Margaret Commons and Freshman Jessica Halsmer.
• Donald Crouch, a 7th grade member of the Advanced Band (Wind Ensemble) and the Marching Band, has been selected to the IMEA All-State Honor Band. He will be traveling to Ft. The team still has a few slots open for Varsity wrestlers. If you are interested, contact Coach Jewell after school.
