The American Legion and Auxiliary members of Post 34 hosted their Annual Holiday Dinner for Homeless Veterans and Families on November 9th in Broad Ripple. The Legionnaires and Auxiliary members served holiday dinners to at least 50 men and women residents of Homeless Veterans houses here in Indianapolis. In addition to the dinner, the veterans were also given gift bags valued at $20 each. The gift bags included hats, scarves, gloves, socks, and personal items.

HVAF of Indiana, Inc., short for Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation is a United Way nonprofit organization, providing transitional housing and basic needs to veterans and families. Their mission is to eliminate homelessness among veterans and their families through education, prevention, supportive services and advocacy.
