National Night Out, a nation-wide event to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie and to send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back, was held on August 6, 2013, at The Bike Line, 6520 Cornell Ave [C5 on map]. Food was provided by Kroger and Little Caesars Pizza. Several local businesses set up booths. Games were available for the kids. Several Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers attended on their patrol bikes.
