TRAFFIC WARNING - College southbound lanes changed again
posted: Aug. 02, 2013
Without warning from the city, the flow of traffic in the southbound lanes of College Avenue at Broad Ripple Avenue were changed again. Around the time of the garage construction, the left lane became left turn only, and the right lane became through and right turn. This turned into a nightmare for many drivers obeying that new configuration as they were run off the road by drivers ignoring the signs. The Gazette received many calls and emails complaining about this.
Now, as the intersection is repaved, the configuration has been changed to allow cars in the left lane to turn left or go through, and the right lane can turn right or go through. For safety's sake, "Traffic Patterns Have Changed" signs should have been installed to warn drivers.
