• The following students will be participating at YOUNG AT ART at the Indiana Design Center in the Carmel Arts District on Feb. 21 from 6-8; Maxx Pyron, Rena Ibarra, Naomi Bubeck and Charles Montgomery. Their work and other area high school students will be available for viewing and purchase. Tickets are available for purchase. Proceeds benefit Methodist Hospital. See Mr. Judd in G102 for details.

• Last Saturday, three Broad Ripple Magnet High School students participated in the Indiana State School Music Association contest, and all three received a gold placement. Congratulations to Robert Camphor, Adam Jones, and Darron Marble for their achievement.

• Congratulations to Katherine Shelton on a wonderful performance at this weekend's state Poetry Out Loud Competition!

• Congratulations to the Middle School Wrestling Team!!! The team entered 10 wrestlers in the city tournament and 8 placed. Remone' Clemmons and William Santiago competed well in their weight classes but missed placing by just one match. Ben Grimm, Amil-lion Wilbur, Craig Edwards, and Zak Abdul-Hakim all placed 4th. Quentin Perkins and Eloy Garcia placed 2nd. Brandon Vizuet-Diaz finished 1st in the 90 pound weight class by pinning 2 of his 3 opponents. DaShawn Adams kept his season undefeated and captured the 145 pound weight class title. In the finals, he pinned his opponent in 21 seconds. DaShawn was named the most valuable wrestler of the tournament. The coaches are very proud of this team. The future looks very bright for Broad Ripple Wrestling. Well done, gentlemen!

• Congratulations to Jamonte Hampton and his family for signing on to further his academic and football career at Marian University. Jamonte will be wearing #32 for the defending 2012 NAIA National Champions!!!! Good luck, Jamonte!
