"It's a fitness club, not a fight club, which includes boxing as a means of getting fit both with strength and cardio. We have sixty 100-lb. heavy punching bags. Our POWER HOUR includes a 15-minute warm-up with stretching and cardio, a 30-minute punching combination with 8 three-minute rounds with one minute of active rest in between rounds. The last 15 minutes is core work - using a medicine ball and working on the abdominal muscles. Using this POWER HOUR, you can burn up to 1,000 calories. We offer a free workout for anybody who wants to come in. We offer 31 classes per week. We have people of all fitness levels, skill levels and ages," he explained.

After a successful retail career, Hannay reflected, "I really wanted to do something in the fitness business and this was an ideal opportunity. Boxing has been around for hundreds of years. According to an ESPN study, boxers are the most fit athletes in the world. I was away from Indianapolis, but wanted to come back to start the business here because this is a great city! I love auto racing that Indy represents."
TBC's boxing and fitness schedule is on their Facebook page at: www.facebook.com/TITLEBoxingClubGlendale. As a member you can take as many classes as you like and have unlimited access to any club location during normal business hours. Best of all, your first shot is free! You can request a free class by signing up at: titleboxingclubindy.com or by calling 517-6129.
Stephanie Troyer is general manager and a certified personal trainer at TBC. "My background is in dance. I was a Pacemate and transitioned into fitness. I studied with the American Council for Fitness on exercising and trained in cardio-boxing and strength training. I taught for several years at a privately owned gym in Carmel in boxing where I boxed one-on-one. The format of the classes will always be the same, but the content will always be different," she mentioned.
TBC also has a line of fitness apparel in the club. "We have a retail section that has attire like t-shirts and hats. We also sell boxing gloves and hand wraps," Ms. Troyer added.
Shane Southern will manage TBC's Fishers location that is tentatively scheduled to open in early May. "I do sales and marketing. Our current promotion is one-half off enrollment and a free boxing starter kit. A free shot is available for the prospects that are actually using the club. A personal membership is for one person while family memberships are designed for more than one," he said. Shane met Dan through his manager and worked with Stephanie at another local gym.
TBC is open Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. with classes at 6 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 5:15 pm. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. with classes at 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m. and Noon. Sunday hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with classes at 9:30 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and Noon.
You can literally feel a burst of adrenaline at Title Boxing Club's Glendale location when participating in one of their POWER HOUR classes.
