• Congrats to the Middle School Wrestling Team who defeated both John Marshall and Washington yesterday in dual meet competition. Eighth graders DaShawn Adams, Eloy Garcia, and Jordy Veras provided key middleweight wins. But the victories were secured by the points provided by Ben Grimm, Amil-lion Wilbur, Jonathon Akins, Brandon Vizuet-Diaz, Quentin Perkins, Craig Edwards and Jonathon Rojas. The team's next meet will be next Wednesday, February 20 here at Broad Ripple. All wrestlers need to report to practice today so we can continue our success. Again, congratulations!
• Congratulations to all the wonderful performances by Broad Ripple Band members at last Saturday's Solo & Ensemble contest. Worthy of special commendation are Adam Jones, Darron Marble and Robert Camphor, who each competed in Division 1, the category with the highest musical demands. Adam, Darron and Robert will all continue to the State-level competition on the 23rd because they brought home the Gold. Kyle Edwards and Darron Marble each deserve special mention because they earned perfect scores for superior performances. Congratulations also to Donald Crouch who earned a perfect score in Division III. In case you were wondering, Broad Ripple had the most participating students overall, the most Division 1 participants, and the most gold medals earned of ANY school in the district! How you do feel, Rockets?!
