The Department of Public Works and Indy Parks have determined that the Monon Drainage Improvements Project will be slated for construction in spring 2013.

During the public meeting held on Sept. 18, 2012, additional drainage issues were brought to our attention along 75th St. In order to complete a more comprehensive drainage improvement project, our engineers and designers are working to add more improvements to the project scope. This additional work will be done outside of the Monon Trail area and will not interrupt trail usage. Plans are still in place for construction on the trail and any closure time will be limited to two to three weeks, as previously discussed. We anticipate that plans will be in place for construction to begin in early spring of 2013, starting with work along 75th St and then moving to the Monon Trail.
