Historic Ad - Handy Hardware
posted: Aug. 17, 2012
This historic ad for Handy Hardware appeared in 1950. The much-loved hardware store was located at 6327 Guilford Avenue, where Artifacts is today [G5]. The ad mentions kids working for "pin-money". This phrase refers to extra money saved for buying non-essentials, like mad-money.
Thanks again to Verner Maybrey of Optical Repair Shoppe at 6021 College Avenue [JJ23] for this old ad.
