Construction on mixed-use parking structure begins
posted: Jul. 06, 2012
Now that all of the required permits and variances have been approved, Keystone Construction has begun building the mixed-use parking structure at the corner of College Avenue and Westfield Boulevard. The final hurdle involved a change to the design of the building to protect against the threat of a 100-year flood. According to David Ponader, Vice President of Development for Keystone Group, "Flood-proofing has been addressed by the addition of precast concrete walls at the base of the facility along the west and south sides, and removable flood-control panels along the east side of the facility and at the corner of College Avenue and Westfield Boulevard."
