• Attucks and Broad Ripple Make Best High Schools Report. Indianapolis Public Schools is proud to be home to two high schools ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. Broad Ripple Magnet High School for the Arts and Humanities and Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet High School are included in the Best High Schools online report, released May 8. In partnership with the American Institutes for Research, U.S. News determined the rankings by analyzing how well students performed on state assessments and their preparedness for college based on success in Advanced Placement courses. The IPS schools earned a Bronze rating. They were among 4,850 schools named top performers.

• Asante Children's Theatre Pays Tribute to MICHAEL JACKSON. One of our 8th graders is in this show- Leondre Burgess. The Asante Children's Theatre has assembled a multi-generational cast of singers, dancers and poets to celebrate Michael Jackson's legacy through spoken word, song and dance. Th, June 7&14, Fri June 8&15, Sat June 9&16 8PM, Sun, June 10&17, 4PM. All eight performances will be held at the Madame Walker Theatre Center, 617 Indiana Avenue.
