Willy Wonka coming to Broad Ripple

Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka will be performed on the stage at Broad Ripple Magnet High School November 17-19, 2011. The musical with lyrics and music by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley has been adapted for the Stage by Timothy Allen McDonald and Leslie Bricusse. It is based on the Book Charlie and The Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.
Roald Dahl's timeless story of the world-famous candy man and his quest to find an heir comes to life in this stage adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which features the songs from the classic family film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Performed at by the students of Broad Ripple Magnet High School on Thursday, November 17, Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19 at 7:00 in the Gene Poston Auditorium. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for general admission, with a family cost of $20. All seats are reserved, so plan to get your tickets early. Call BRMHS for more information: 317-693-5700.
This production is directed by Nancy Lafferty, with vocal direction by Denise Johnson. The lead role of Willy Wonka is played by junior, Christian Peek, while the role of young Charlie Bucket is played by eighth grader, Myles Dixson. Other golden ticket winners include Augustus Gloop, played by freshman Owen Tate, Violet Beauregarde, played by junior, Lyric Pickens, Veruca Salt portrayed by junior Blaze Stahl, and Mike Teavee, portrayed by freshman, Dean Carter.
