Poetic Thoughts - Clarity - by C.W. Pruitt II

Clarity
I had a roommate on Miami Beach in 1996 who often talked about clarity. He would talk about his own clarity and his perception of it. He would talk about clarity of his thought before he went to work in the morning as well as in the early party hours of the evening. I think that Josh was often waiting on brief flashes of enlightenment.
I haven't heard from Josh Erickson in more than 10 years. So, I guess this is like a Casey Kasem long-distance dedication. Josh, if this poem finds you, I hope that it finds you in a moment of clarity.
in my clarity
(which is fleeting)
my life-force
in me is beating
desert consciousness
crystal clear
the distant horizon
seems near
there is only love
(no fear)
the truth i
hold dear
it is good
to think
so clear
