"The name of my company helped in getting my work noticed, a simple play on the word 'envious.' Once I explained the phrasing, it really stayed with potential clients. Even being told later that the reason some of these potential leads went with my company is because they remembered the name and wanted their business to be envied because of their design," Brittian explained.
"We do everything from websites, business cards, e-mail blasts and logo creations to integrated marketing campaigns, vehicle graphics and wraps. We're pretty much a full services graphic design/advertising company. I've built some great relationships with other companies in Indianapolis and can offer competitive prices to clients. Dream Street Graphic is one company we've partnered with in creating wrap design - a 3M product that wraps a vehicle and can protect its existing paint and clear coat underneath. The client can take their newly wrapped vehicle through car washes and not worry about it affecting the design. We can also wrap boats, cornhole boards and race cars. We offer different advertising and graphic design services that stand out among our competitors. When working with NVS Design, it is always a win-win situation. The client's company gets quality work for an affordable price, in turn generating more revenue, while NVS Design gets the opportunity to broaden its portfolio," he added.
NVS Design clientele are as diverse as the creative ideas they offer them. They include National Marketing Data based out of Boston and more locally, Autism Society of Indiana, Holiday World, Indianapolis Indians, ITEX Indiana, Simmons Mattress, Heartland Painters, Invisible Fence Brand, The SkyLine Club, Sunburst Shutters, Kermans Flooring and Natural LawnCare of America.

"Our clients range from California to Florida, although many of them are Indiana-based. With new services, such as vehicle graphics and 3D video animation added to our wide array of services, I feel we are headed in the right direction of being a one stop shop for any business looking to expand their business marketing and strengthen their brand identity into something they can truly be proud of," Brittian said.
Their work will also be featured at the James Dean festival in Fairmount, Indiana during the weekend of September 23, 24 and 25 with an information booth set up at the event. They have worked with clients such as Rockstars Auto Reconditioning, Papa John's, T-Mobile, Great Deals, local travel agency Indy Cruise Planners and started advertising on radio station KISS FM (95.9).
Chad's creative passion began early in life. "I knew from the time I could hold a pencil that I liked to draw. Throughout my adolescence, I took every opportunity I could that involved the arts, both graphically and musically. As I approached my final years of high school, I started to ponder, how I would be able to utilize my talent towards a career I could be proud of. By my junior year of high school, after I saw an ad in Hot Rod Magazine for the Chevrolet Camaro, I knew I was hooked. It was amazing to see the creativity behind the ad and see something on paper really come to life. I wanted to able to share ideas with companies that could profit from my creativity and ability to design and draw. I researched more about the possibilities available and decided that advertising and graphic design to be right up my alley," he explained.
Creativity is a common bond in his family. "My great grandfather drew as well. His creativity was more of a hobby and although I never got the chance to meet him, I have heard he was quite a talented man and that we would have enjoyed drawing together. Drawing has always excited me. I remember an annual Garfield drawing competition at the James Dean Festival and the first year I entered, I won amongst several other entries, some almost twice my age, so it's nice to be a part of the car show this year and be able to show off a different side of my creativity," Brittian mentioned.
"My junior year at BSU, I got the opportunity to go to San Francisco, California for an award-winning integrated marketing campaign I had helped develop for a company. This was because I had made one of my best decisions to join The American Advertising Federation earlier that year," he said.
"When I graduated, I got a job in Greenwood at a signage company, but freelanced some part-time graphic design jobs. For the next year, I worked as much as I could so that I would eventually be able to fulfill my passion for designing more on the creative side," he recalled.
A 1993 Camaro (that can be seen outside NVS office) is a mobile marketing tool that will appear in the Indianapolis 500 Festival Parade next May. Some IndyGo buses can also be seen with this special wrap design advertising.
"We opened in January 2010, originally southwest of Indianapolis. As we grew, I felt it was time to expand elsewhere. We contemplated downtown, but the Broad Ripple area is looked at as being more artsy, while also being contemporary and modern. I felt that it would be a great location and feel that our company encompasses. I truly believe the sky is the limit with opportunities for national exposure at our hands and connections to the 2012 Super Bowl. I am truly thankful and blessed for what has come my way in such a short time, all with the continued support of my friends and family," he said.
Two NVS employees have made noteworthy contributions in recent company endeavors and have gained valuable work experience.
Celasie Black interned as an account representative at NVS this summer: "A lot of the things I've done consist of networking with business owners in the Indianapolis area, Greenwood and Carmel, to see if they need anything done for their business, like a marketing plan. I went to the Super Bowl hosting committee at the Carmel mansion and networked with several people. One of the committee members I met there is one of our clients now. I've sat in at a lot of Rainmakers and Broad Ripple Housing Association events and met with a lot of business owners. This is a great place to intern because it's very hands-on," she noted. Ms. Black returns to BSU this month as a senior working her public relations degree.
Jaqualynn Ranck said, "I do design work. I just finished laying out the Great Deals Magazine for Avon (its inaugural edition) and Greenwood. For both of those magazines, I created some of the ads. I get to create logo designs; I worked a great deal on our Camaro's wrap and recently got the opportunity to design a wrap for a local home renovation company. I just graduated from Ball State University with a journalism graphics and magazine journalism degree."
As a visionary entrepreneur, Chad Brittian and his talented staff are creating an artistic, envious niche for their clients at NVS Design in Broad Ripple. Stop by today to see how you can be the envy of your competition with NVS Design.
