Stretch Logistics utilizes technology as part of their transport strategy. "As far as technology, we go through several different interface technology-based software and representational software programs when moving our freight. Communicating and having real-time information, a customer knows when their trucks are in transit at all times."

Lawler describes some of the rewards of logistics work at Stretch. "The work environment makes a difference here. The employees of Stretch are our greatest asset. We're a young company that has been growing significantly; a big portion of our business is in sales. We do it in a fun manner. That can be stressful, but always rewarding," he noted.

They are also environmentally responsible. "Everything we print is recyclable. We don't throw anything away. That is part of our Smartware program. When we send somebody a shipping contract, we have it converted into a PDF (Portable Document Format) file format and have it e-mailed to them," he mentioned.
