Wine Glass Half Empty or Half "Phil"?
Welcome to February. Shortest month of the year. More gray skies than blue. Valentines Day. It's enough to make a sunshine loving single gal fill her wine glass with tears. OK, PHIL could change all of this for me. (As in the Punxsutawney PA rodent, not some possible date on Match.com) However, I am not one to leave my fate to a groundhog so my remedy to beat the winter blahs: wine. 28 days of wine. One bottle for each day at a price that will STILL be less than an hour with a shrink or a Vegas bet on a groundhog's shadow.
This week the reds. Next time, the whites. All available at wine shoppes around the city for $10 or less.
Red Wines:
Le Lapin Petite Syrah- packed with flavors of bold black fruit
Le Lapin Zinfandel- EZ drinking and dry
Le Lapin Speed Bump- enjoy with chocolate
Le Lapin Multiplicity- big and bold
Rabbit Ridge Allure- elegant , rich red
Silvae Monastrell- soft and sumptuous
Don Ramon- crowd pleaser
Wrongo Dongo Monastrell- dirty, dusty, delicious
La Fiera Montepulciano D'Abruzzo- earthy yet smooth
Robertson Sweet Red- Oliver Soft Red from Down Under
Friends RED- peppy, zippy, dry red blend
Colonia Los Liebres Bonarda- bold and lush
Naire Tempranillo- hints of leather, tobacco & earth
Casa de Campos Malbec- Malbec 101 = glass of fun
