Poetic Thoughts - Juan de la Cruz - by C.W. Pruitt II

Shelly Cheeseman (now Shelly Riemer) lived at 54th and College eleven years ago. She had 2 cats and lots of candles. She had encouraging quotes and poems carefully placed around her apartment. I would call the vibe joyful serenity.
Several years ago, after Shelly moved away from Broad Ripple, Bill Emmert and I paid her a visit in Fort Collins, Colorado. Above the desk in her home was a quote on her bulletin board. "Where you find no love, put love and you will find love." - St. John of the Cross (Juan de la Cruz)
I read and re-read the quote. When I got home, Abstract James was also enamored with the quote. We decided to laminate it and disseminate it.
It looked something like this:
WHERE YOU
FIND NO LOVE
PUT LOVE
AND YOU WILL
FIND LOVE
St. John of the Cross
(Juan de la Cruz)
