Random Rippling - Broad Ripple Brewpub celebrates 20 years
posted: Dec. 03, 2010
The Broad Ripple Brewpub, located at 65th and Cornell, celebrated 20 years with a big party in the parking lot on November 14, 2010. Brats were grilled and beers were on tap from the Brewpub, as well as from several local micro brewers. The Indianapolis Art Center had an area where attendees could make a commemorative Brewpub bookmark using linoleum block printing.
The overall winner of the Fall 2010 Trivia Contest was announced. The Black Friars won with an average score of 18.25 points. The grand prize was six gift bags (one for each team member) containing a t-shirt, a set of two logo glasses with coasters, a five pack card (five beers), a scotch egg card, a fifty dollar gift certificate, and finally a card which entitles them to buy a beer for John Hill.
In the party tent at the Brewpub: Ted Miller (Brugge), Greg Emic (2nd brewer and now owner of Lafayette Brewing Co.), Gil Alberding (1st brewer), the first Brewpub customer, John Hill (owner), Kevin Matalucci (current brewer), and the first Brewpub bartender.
