The Carmel Arts and Design District has been attracting a lot of attention lately with two new galleries being opened both by former Stutz-based artists. Jerry Points opened "Eye on Art Gallery" and right next door at 111 Main Street, Susan Mauck opened "French Bleu Fine Art Gallery". Both galleries will be celebrating grand openings on Saturday, November 6, 2010, at 5pm. There are more nine galleries now open in the Carmel Arts and Design District. Looking for a few Fall events to step out into the crisp cool air that doesn't involve a Halloween costume?
November 5th, 2010, from 6 to 9pm the Harrison Gallery will be featuring new work by Kyle Ragsdale, "Share, Half-Share". (1505 North Delaware, Indianapolis) For more info visit www.harrisoncenter.org.
November 5th, 2010, from 5 to 9pm is the 6th Annual IDADA Member Exhibition will be held from November 5-18 at Gallery 924 located on Pennsylvania Street just north of the main library. This is the new location for the Arts Council of Indianapolis. For more info visit www.idada.org.
November 19, 2010, will be a great chance to step out for a night of incredible art on sale for $100. The Tonic Ball has grown to be one of the most anticipated local music events of the year in Indianapolis. This is a great fundraising event for Second Helpings and this year you can be a part of it. Tonic Ball 9 will feature Indiana's top rock, folk, jazz, funk, country and pop artists at Radio Radio, 1119 E. Prospect Street and next door at the Fountain Square Theatre. Tonic Gallery will feature works by the city's most renowned visual artists and will be seen at New Day Meadery. Doors open at 7pm at both Tonic Ball venues and the artwork bidding will start at New Day Meadery at 5pm and closes at the bids at 8pm .
