The Chipmunk Story
I often subject my friends to my stories. One of them is 'The Chipmunk Story'. If any of my friends are reading this, you can stop reading now. I will spare you the agony.
On a morning last spring, I had an experience with a chipmunk. I was entering the front door of my apartment. I saw a chipmunk about 30 feet away on the porch-area that I was on. He was looking right at me. Those little dudes are always moving so fast, I never see them still at all. I found it cool to be staring at this chipmunk. Then he jetted a few feet towards me. I thought this was quite cool. Then he jetted forward a few more feet. He kept jetting forward until he was 3 feet from my feet. At that second a neighbor leaving the building opened our electric front door. It slammed into my backside. The chipmunk jetted off.
I made a journal entry on the chipmunk experience. The incident occurred on May 23, 2009.
I told Abstract James about it that day. He seemed mildly impressed. Thus began my career of telling the chipmunk story. Perhaps I should retire it now.
