Brown of Indiana Heart Hospital gets award

Mary Brown CSR, recently received a national IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management) award. Long-time Broad Ripple residents will remember her as Mary Lobraico when she worked at Lobraico's Rexall Drug Store at Westfield and Guilford Avenue (It is now Chelsea's).
According to the IAHCSMM website (www.iahcsmm.org) The awards program is to recognize those who have "...successfully tackled a challenging project, streamlined efficiencies or discovered a way to foster more effective interdepartmental relationships within their facility... ...managed to boost educational or certification efforts, curb expenses while improving customer service, or authored an article on a pertinent topic related to the CSMM profession."
Mary was presented with the 2010 Peggy Ryan, RN, Technician Achievement Award sponsored by STERIS Corporation at the annual conference awards luncheon in San Diego, California. She received her award for her concept of reduction, removal and relocation (the 3 R's) of stock for PAR levels at The Indiana Heart Hospital.
