The Magic Table

My artist friends call the table in my living room The Magic Table. An incredible amount of art has been created around it.

Abstract James Horn has spent 6 years creating around The Magic Table. In fact, he is doing a drawing right now, as I write this, at The Magic Table.

Below is a poem I wrote last month as a tribute to The Magic Table:

Setting The Table

the dark cheap coffee

the long Camel Filter cigarette

the nag champa incense

blessed by

Bhagavan Sri Satya Sai Baba

the jazz of Joe Harrison's guitar

picking over the classics

so smoothly and effortlessly

and Abstract James composing poems

across from me

at my magic table

making writing

less of a task

and more of

an extension

of my

inner essence
