The second Envision College session was held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church at 52nd and Central Avenue on October 6. Attendees filled the basement room to discuss and formulate plans for the future of the College Avenue corridor. The scope of the plan is from 34th Street to about 55th Street.

Kathleen Blackham showed a series of photographs submitted by attendees of the first Envision session. The photos were of desirable scenes in Indianapolis and other cities in hopes that they might spark an idea. Next, a video of an urban planning presentation by Mary Lee Utter was shown to give an update of current transportation ideas around the country. It showed how in some cities the transportation was built before there was any development. The new transit system attracted desirable development.

The audience then broke into groups to work on the project for the session - What density of development should be in the College corridor, assuming that a transit system is up and running? And, what does College need in terms of transit? Each group described their thoughts on the issues. The results of each session are compiled to form a cumulative planning document for the future of College development. It is planned to have follow up Envision meetings every other month.
