God has given us a very beautiful world to enjoy, and the United States is certainly blessed with more than an abundance of its share of that beauty.
My wife and I recently visited the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Though I have been to this park several times, each time is a new experience. While we were there we saw documentaries by Ken Burns on the National Parks. That got me to thinking how fortunate I have been because my parents introduced me to several of the National Parks on camping trips throughout my childhood. I was so impressed by the parks that I have carried that tradition into my adulthood. I have visited 46 states and most of the phenomenal parks in them. My goal though is to get to them all.
Yes, I believe that corporate worship is necessary because that is where we learn (if we are willing to) and grow in our relationship with God and each other. However, I also believe in the quiet solitude of sitting in the midst of God's creation and communing with just Him. It's a special time and a unique experience that I greatly encourage you to take the time and just do it.
