posted: Oct. 02, 2009
There were two petitions on the agenda for the September 2009 meeting of the Broad Ripple Village Association (BRVA) Land Use and Development Committee. The committee meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 P.M. at Broad Ripple United Methodist Church, located at 62nd and Guilford Avenue.
The first petition was for property located at 6043 College Avenue. The petitioner did not appear. This was the second month that this property was on the agenda.
The second petition was a follow-up for the property located at 1030 Kessler Boulevard (at Birchwood). A new design was shown that increases the width of the space between the buildings, allowing for two of the four garages to be located in the interior of the property, leaving the other two on the Birchwood side. It was also mentioned that if approved, these town homes would be built individually as sold. As of press time the downtown hearing for this petition was scheduled for October 21, although there was discussion of continuing it once again to November to allow for a final discussion and vote from the BRVA committee.
The next public BRVA zoning hearing is scheduled for October 27, 2209.
The updated rendering of the Birchwood project as presented at the September meeting.
