Bad Peaches In Song And Poetry

On Otis Gibbs' latest CD Grandpa Walked A Picket Line he describes an opportunistic evangelist. The song "Preacher Steve" has several great lines. My favorite says, "Preacher Steve could walk on water while the whole world's dying of thirst."
My neighbor Niki Rae Voelpel wrote a poignant poem of a similar vein. Here it is:

Thelogian

So dignified in their nice suits they walk
Their education is shown by the way they talk

To reach the beggar their coins chime as they hit the floor
Being so far above the oppressed forgotten and poor

Of a loving God they go around and preach
Proclaiming of how the world we must go and reach

But with the outcasts in private they would never choose to eat
Forgetting a savior who embraced the worst of sinners and
Washed His enemy's feet
