HIT THE HOLIDAY WINE TRAIL
Fill your glass with some Indiana Christmas cheer the weekend of December 6th and 7th.
Participating wineries include Buck Creek Winery (Indianapolis), Chateau Thomas Winery (Plainfield), Easley Winery (Indianapolis), Ferrin's Fruit Winery (Carmel), Grape Inspirations Winery (Carmel), Mallow Run Winery (Bargersville), and Simmons Winery (Columbus).
Customers can visit each winery from 12PM-6PM on Saturday and Sunday during the event to enjoy hors d'ouvres, Christmas shopping and a free gift at each winery! Be sure to visit all seven wineries to get a different gift at each stop.
"Christmas at an Indiana winery is such a unique experience," said Jeff Durm, co-owner of Buck Creek Winery and president of the Indy Wine Trail. "The Indy Wine Trail is excited to invite people in to our wineries and give them a taste of what Christmas means to us!"
Adult tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event. Tickets can be purchased at the Indy Wine Trail wineries. The ticket includes one glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage, Christmas ornament and hors d'ouvres at each winery.
For more information on the Indy Wine Trail, please call 1-888-VINO-INDY (888-846-6463) or visit the website at: www.indywinetrail.com.

IN MY BIN:
A to Z Pinot Blanc, Oregon-crisp, clean, soft dry white. Great with grilled fish or chicken.
White Knight Viognier, California-silky, rich, dry white with exotic nose. Super with sushi.
Calgiore Malbec, Argentina-bold, dry ripe red packed with aromas and flavors of blackberry, mulberry and spice. Bring on the meat!
Rancho Zabaco Heritage Vineyard Zinfandel, California-ripe, lush, bold, chewy, peppery, big red berry aromas and flavors in this dry red.

RUN RUN REINDEER!!
Get into the Christmas groove this Friday night with a selection of songs and sounds from musician/vocalist Randy Strand as he brings his gift of song back to the public after decades of using his right brain more than his left. Give Indy Art: Holiday Gift Ideas
by Casey Jo Ailes

Still have not found the perfect holiday gift for your loved one? Avoid the mad rush at the usual holiday hot spots and check out some of the unique holiday gifts such as original artwork by local Indianapolis Artists. "Be Indypendent" is a campaign that has been launched by the Indianapolis Arts Council to encourage us to support our local artists by buying art here in Indy. There is not a better time than now to give a loved one a piece of art, to not only cherish a lifetime but to be able to pass it down through the generations.
Friday, December 5th, 2008, is a great chance to step out and check out local galleries and exhibits to find that perfect piece for a holiday gift this year. Zionsville's "Holiday in the Village" is on the 6th & 7th, enjoy original art, crafts and shopping in the galleries. Also take time to check out the handmade ornament exhibit at Art in Hand, found in downtown Zionsville. Broad Ripple's own "Hoosier Salon" presents their Annual Holiday Show with fine works of art in oils, acrylic, pastels, watercolor and mixed media.
IDADA's First Friday will host more than 25 galleries through out the Indianapolis area on December 5th from 6-9pm. For more information check out beindypendent.org for more gift-giving ideas and how to support your local artists.
