"Dinner in the Garden" was held on Friday, October 3, 2008, benefiting the Broad Ripple Farmers' Market. The dinner was entirely made with locally grown Indiana produce, meat and wine.

The dinner table for 120 attendees was set on the farm of Your Neighbor's Garden in northwest Indianapolis.

The menu included: Butternut Squash Bisque with Braised Lamb Shank and Sweet Corn, Seldom Seen Farm Root Vegetable Salad with Baby Arugula, Pickled Onions and Capriole Goat Cheese Fondue, St. Elmo Steak with Homestead Growers Mushrooms, Kale and Whole Wheat Pasta Ragout, Roasted Garlic Tomato Sauce, Asian Pear and Apple Crisp with Shagbark Hickory Syrup and Cinnamon Whipped Cream, Coffee by Hubbard & Cravens Coffee Co., with wine provided by Mallow Run Winery and Warmed Spiced Apple Cider provided by Wild's Apple Farm.
