Historic Home Tour showcased ten Village homes
posted: Oct. 10, 2008
Historic home lovers swarmed over the Village on Saturday, September 27, 2008, for the fourth annual Broad Ripple Historic Home Tour. The homes on the tour included: 6027 and 6035 Gladden Drive, 6122, 6268 and 6312 Central Avenue, 1216 Kessler Boulevard, 6117 Rosslyn Avenue, 5954 Ralston Avenue, 6033 Crittenden Avenue, and 5945 Evanston Avenue.
Homes from small to large were open for the attendees. A very interesting home was the Jensen - Logsdon Home at 1216 Kessler Boulevard. When this house was most recently purchased it was in a state of disrepair. Photos in each room showed the before state - amazing transformation! Each home was fun to walk through, but my favorite was the Osborne - Seymour Home at 6122 Central Avenue. Let's see, what was it about that house....oh, I remember, FRESH BAKED COOKIES! I look forward to the fifth home tour in 2009. The tour committee has already started to work on it.
The large Jensen - Logsdon home at 1216 Kessler featured the before/after experience.
