The 25th annual Italian Street Festival will take place on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14, 2008, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the grounds of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. This is the largest annual ethic event of its kind held in Indianapolis. Located at 520 Stevens Street, it is approximately six blocks south of the downtown Indianapolis area.
Various Italian entrees (Fettuccine, Lasagna, Pasta, Pizza, Ravioli and Tortellini), desserts (Cannoli and Gelati), salads and wines will be available. There will be live music, dancing and amusement rides. Admission is free, but tickets must be purchased in order to buy food and beverages. Free parking will be available in the Eli Lilly and Company lots on East & New Jersey Streets.
Two Masses will be celebrated on Saturday June 14th at 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. There will be an Italian Religious Procession at 6:45 p.m. prior to the second Mass. The Master's Chorale of Indianapolis will sing at both Masses. All are invited to attend.
