Organic Panic
If you missed the chance on Tuesday to lift a glass to Mother Earth, don't fret. There are plenty of delicious, affordable organic and biodynamic (the organic summa cum laude/Uber Eco-Sustainable) wines on the market to choose, open, pour and lift a glass or two to the old world, the new world and Mama Earth (who LOVES anything local be it wine or food). So don't forget to sign up for Natures Harvest Organics-a local CSA-community supported agriculture business that grows local, certified organic produce. You can have weekly fresh produce with one quick click to www.naturesharvestorganics.com

Might I suggest:
Cooper Mountain Reserve Pinot Gris-lush, silky, dry white from Oregon with subtle rich flavors of white peach, honeydew melon and lemon curd.
Badger Mountain Rose of Cabernet Franc-Crisp, fresh, succulent flavors of wild blueberry, black cherry and vanilla done neatly and discreetly in the form of a pink wine. This fabulous mouth filler is NOT sweet-so don't shy away from this richly rewarding rose.

Wine Trail features Racing Action!
Seven central Indiana wineries will be getting ready for the racing season. The Race into the Wineries event will take place May 10 and 11, 2008, at the participating wineries. Guests are invited to visit each winery from noon to 6pm to enjoy all the different festivities, track food and wines that await them.
Participating wineries include Buck Creek Winery (Indianapolis), Chateau Thomas Winery (Plainfield), Easley Winery (Indianapolis), Ferrin's Fruit Winery (Carmel), Grape Inspirations Winery (Carmel), Mallow Run Winery (Bargersville), and Simmons Winery (Columbus). This collection of wineries is also known as the Indy Wine Trail.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Ticket prices include a glass of wine, track style food and a race-themed gift at each winery.
Currently, the Indy Wine Trail is featuring a passport program where visitors receive a free wine glass after visiting all seven wineries. Trail visitors have until June 1, 2008 to complete the trail to earn the glass.
