Old Town of Broad Ripple Meeting Minutes #95

The Town of Broad Ripple was incorporated in 1894, and started holding regular meetings at that time. In each issue, I will print my transcription of the old Town of Broad Ripple meeting minutes. These are taken from the original, hand-written minutes that contain many spelling errors. I have transcribed all the records as they were entered, including errors. I will make some corrections to the text in brackets [ ]. The original minutes books are at the Indiana State Archives at 6440 E. 30th St.
Here is the ninety-fifth installment:
CURFEW ORDINANCE no 13
Section 4
It shall be the duty of the Marshal of said town to give notice of this ordinance each evening by ringing the Fire Bell at the time elected in this ordinance for such persons to be off the streets.
Section 5
This ordinance shall be in force and take effect from and after the passage and legal publication.

The board met in special session all present. The treasurers report was accepted showing balance on hand $13.49 and the clerk instructed to spend some on minutes and post three coppies in public places. The minutes were approved as read.
