Soon, you'll have one more choice in a currently teeming directory of Broad Ripple area salons.
It's no secret that the Broad Ripple Village hosts arguably the most talented stylists and salon personnel in Indianapolis. Debbie Scott is confident that she and her new salon, Hair @ 6310, are ready to meet the high expectations and demands of the Broad Ripple clientele.
Debbie Scott stands proudly in front of her new business.
Debbie Scott has been in the hair biz for 23 years and Hair @ 6310 marks her first owning/operating experience. Along with her expertise, Van Kirby and Dan Detrick, seasoned and talented stylists who have a long Broad Ripple history themselves, accompany her.
Van Kirby, a featured stylist at 6310, works on a client's hair.
In addition, Scott is looking for a few more talented shears - and other services - to share residence at the newly remodeled salon. She welcomes anyone interested in offering specialized services to women to contact her to find out about leasing space.
The newly remodeled salon is a 2-story, multi-room facility that includes four stylist stations downstairs, two stations upstairs with a waxing room and an ultra-private room complete with its own entrance and service stations.
A private room like this, Scott hopes, will be used for special-needs clients such as cancer patients undergoing radiation. Scott wants to emphasize simplicity and comfort in her new salon and plans on utilizing the space effectively.
"What I find really exciting for me in this business is that I have two people working in 650 sq. ft., and in Broad Ripple, even where I get my hair done, they have three people working in a 12' x 3' room, and I'm so excited to be able to offer SPACE!"
Scott uses her money well, too. A fan of shabby chic style, you can spot several design details that are trendy yet cost-conscious too. The salon chairs are vintage 1970s chairs rescued from a barn, repainted, and reupholstered - and comfortable to boot!
A grand opening will occur after the New Year when a fantastic surprise piece of sculpture, created by a regional artist, is scheduled to be installed in front of the salon. As the salon nears grand-opening day, the Gazette will keep you updated.
