The fifth annual Drumstick Dash will take place on Thanksgiving morning and start in Broad Ripple. The event is a 4.5 mile family run/walk that will help raise funds for Wheeler Mission, a soup kitchen located in downtown Indianapolis.

The race will begin at 9 a.m. at Broad Ripple Station (the Sunflower and Running Company parking lot) and will wind through the village and surrounding neighborhoods.

Entry fees for the race vary. If you sign up at the Running Company before November 17, 2007, the rate is 20 dollars per person and 20 dollars for the first two members of a family and 15 dollars for every member after that. Those under the age of 12 are 10 dollars.

The fee after November 17, including day of the race entrees, is 25 dollars. Those who pre-register will receive a Brooks long-sleeved T-shirt.

All youngsters ages 10 and under are invited to participate in the Turkey Tot Trot Chase. This fun run will have kids chasing a turkey around the parking lot of Broad Ripple Station. This will happen at 10:15a.m. The event is FREE and no registration is required beyond showing up. All finishers will receive a finishers ribbon.
