August 14, 2007 - Rob Dixon Group
If classical jazz is your style, then the Rob Dixon group will put you in the mood. Rob Dixon plays a powerful sax. The group includes the talents of Steven Jones on keyboard, Joel Kelsey on bass and P.J. Majors on drums. On trumpet was surprise guest Derrick Gardner who currently plays for Harry Connick Jr.
A little Coltrane, James Brown, Herbie Hancock plus original compositions filled the park with those oh so sweet sounds called jazz.
The last free concert of the series will be August 28, 2007, at Broad Ripple Park at 7pm. The Bill Langton Group will perform.
