posted: Aug. 10, 2007
Broad Ripple and surrounding area residents came out on Saturday, July 28, 2007, to protest property and income tax adjustments made on Marion County citizens. The event gathered local and national media attention as protesters threw property tax bill "tea" into the Broad Ripple Canal and listened to numerous speakers, including Representative David Orentlicher (D-Indianapolis), explain the current situation.
