The Broad Ripple Microbrewers' Festival proved to be a hit with everyone-including the Gazette staff. We have view points on numerous beers from three different writers... Enjoy the next three articles.
The 12th Annual Microbrewers' Festival took place on Saturday, July 21, 2007. It was presented by the Brewers of Indiana Guild and sponsored by the Broad Ripple Brewpub, Red Hook Brewery, Goose Island Beer Company, Crown Liquors, Ice Miller, March, 92.3 WTTS, Nuvo, Brewers Supply Group, White Labs, Sommer Awning Company, Bike Line, Scholars Inn Bakehouse, Rusted Moon Outfitters and Indianapolis Ambassadors. Upon entering the Fest, attendees were given pamphlets explaining the different types of beers and a four or five ounce commemorative glass in which two ounces of beer would be poured from each microbrewer. For future microbrewer's fests, all of the Gazette's reviewers suggested getting there as early as possible to sample the 20 in-state breweries and 15 out of state breweries. Proceed benefited the Northside Optimist Club of Indianapolis and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
