Life's Ripples from Broad Ripple United Methodist Church by Rev. Timothy Rasmussen

Wow! I'm sure glad we have had the below normal precipitation and the above normal temperatures the weathermen predicted, or we just might have had some interesting weather. We do love to complain, don't we? I'm just as guilty as the next guy when it comes to day to day gripes. Those conversations are usually just words used to pass the time since we all realize the weather is going to be what it is going to be and there's nothing we can do about it. There is a saying in Indiana that if you don't like the weather just wait a minute and it will change. The reality is that we haven't had it too bad compared to other states this winter.
If I had my choice I'd certainly choose warm and dry days, but I still go on with my life and daily activities regardless of the weather. God has given us so much variety, not only in our lives, but in the changes of the seasons as well. Each day offers us limitless opportunities for adventure. We can grumble and complain, or we can take things in stride and make the most of the gifts that we've been given. Is your life an adventure, or is it just one big gripe session? God wants excitement and beauty in your life. Try seeing things through different eyes this week and see what happens.
