It was brought to my attention that several readers, none of whom contacted me, thought that our front page article on a proposed project at 6310 College Avenue was misleading. Some thought the article implied that this project is underway. This was not our intention. The article stated that the project still must go downtown for zoning. At press time we did not have the ruling by the BRVA, which is one of non-support. I believe this means they neither support nor reject the project. The article was intended as an unbiased description of the proposal, with some background of its controversy. In retrospect, we could have better stated the preliminary state of this project. The developers have not yet presented their request for zoning variances to the city.
